Effect of Micro Flipped Method on EFL Learners’ Speaking Fluency

This study investigated the effect of micro flipped method on English as a foreign language (EFL) learners’ speaking fluency and compared its with traditional face-to-face teacher-fronted in EFL context Iran. To this end, 40 intermediate-level learners institute were selected through placement test assigned to experimental control groups. The group (non-flipped classroom) was exposed in-class activities instructional materials print format whereas (micro both out-of-class materials, including mini videos uploaded before class via Edmodo, technology-based pedagogical environment. assess participants’ fluency, they interviewed at beginning end their course, recorded speech data analyzed PRAAT (computer software package for analysis) terms six aspects articulation rate (syllables per second), all pauses, long unfilled filled pauses mean length run. analysis Mann-Whitney tests revealed statistically significant differences regarding measures higher articulate run lower rates posttest interview. findings accentuate role classroom blended learning where second/foreign (L2) leaners can develop L2 skills online actual settings.
